Meet Erin Evans
I grew up in Central Florida, and received a B.A. in Communications from the University of West Florida as well as an M.S. from Murray State University. I moved to Nashville in 1996 after spending two years teaching in Orlando’s public school system.
After my husband (Billy) and I were married, we bought our first and only home in Hermitage. We chose the Bell Road/South New Hope area because we wanted to be close to the airport and downtown Nashville. We also liked the area’s convenient access to Percy Priest Lake, healthcare services, and retail options.
As a Hermitage resident I have served neighborhoods through a variety of organizations including:
The Donelson-Hermitage Neighborhood Association (DHNA) - board member
Neighbor 2 Neighbor (formerly Neighborhoods Resource Center) - board member
Metro Beautification Commission - District 12 Representative
Coalition for Nashville Neighborhoods - member
Metro’s Citizens Police Academy (2017 graduate)
Leadership Donelson Hermitage (2018 graduate)
Metro Nashville Water Services “Citizens Water Academy” (2019 graduate)
While living in Nashville I have been afforded a wealth of professional opportunities that have included roles at the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) as well as at the Tennessee General Assembly. After leaving the legislature in 2000 I transitioned into positions within corporate learning, communications, and marketing departments in the financial services industry.
With over 20 years of experience as a learning and development/communications professional I have learned how to:
Collaborate with all levels of stakeholders,
Tell effective stories
Navigate complicated subjects.
I am adept at identifying shared strengths, connecting people to opportunities, and establishing goals for the future.
I’m ready to serve as your Metro Council representative for District 12 to help facilitate a comprehensive conversation about the needs of our district. I would appreciate your support.
